Spreadsheets
I absolutely love Spreadsheet. I was not very familiar with spreadsheet, but after reading the textbook and having the grade book assignment in class I am a huge fan. Not only is the spreadsheet very easy to keep organized, but also it does the calculating for you! What more could you ask for as a teacher? It is all there for you with one application. I will definitely use spreadsheet in my classroom and I look forward to doing so.
As a teacher we use spreadsheet as a very organized efficient grading method. The advantage of using spreadsheet over a calculator is simple. With a calculator, you have to enter each student’s grade my grade to calculate the average. With a spreadsheet, you can type in the formula and it will do the calculations for you. The three primary functions of spreadsheets are: storing, calculating and presenting information. Like I have already mentioned I think thing spreadsheets are great for grading. It is very organized in storing the grade. It is a very simple process to calculate the grades and averages. On top of that it is well organized and easy to read and work with.
